Altoholic? Spending hours reconfiguring your UI on each character? We want to make your strange addiction even easier.

The Manual Method

How to Copy UI Configuration

  1. Navigate to your p99 EQ Folder
  2. Copy UI_Name1_project1999.ini (Name1 being the preferred character's configuration)
  3. Paste in same folder
  4. Rename UI_Name1_project1999_2.ini to UI_Name2_project1999.ini

How to Copy Friends/Hotkeys/Macros

  1. Navigate to your p99 EQ Folder
  2. Copy Name1_project1999.ini (Name1 being the preferred character's configuration)
  3. Paste in same folder
  4. Rename Name1_project1999_2.ini to Name2_project1999.ini

If Character you are copying from is a caster you also must do the following or the client will crash on launch:

  1. Open Name1_project1999.ini in a text editor (you may need to Right Click the .ini and select Open With)
  2. Scroll to the bottom to find the [SpellLoadouts] section
  3. Change SpellLoadout1.slot1 through slot8 to (Zero)
  4. Save and close the file

AutoMagic Copy Tool

This simple tool by Garryck allows you to quickly copy your UI configuration from one character to another. Please note that it only copies the UI and not the Friends / Hotkeys / Macros. If you want to bring those over, you'll need to use the manual steps above. It's also worth noting that this tool can only replace an existing UI file and therefore you must have logged into the character you are attempting to overwrite before execution or the file will not be listed. With those limitations in mind, it is nice for it's ease, speed, and the fact that it backs up your original file.
