Practice Makes Perfect
This month we are looking at Kingdom's many avenues for constant improvement! As a progression guild, we enjoy the process of perfecting an encounter by growing our players to contest raid targets more efficiently, respond to meta or ruleset changes, and complete our progression charts.
We're getting close to having kills on all of the available P99 targets (see our Classic, Kunark, and Velious Progression on the taskbar to the right) and have our eyes on many goals to continue to challenge ourselves in the raiding scene.
How do we do that? Well ...
Workshops - Hosted and Organized by Pyrrh and Erser.
Different encounters require different raid compositions. Having our members comfortable on multiple roles is what secures us our target! We believe it to be very important that anyone can pick up and play these crucial roles.
These workshops are outlined and run by our seasoned EQ veterans. This carefully curated information, combined with a strong force of shared characters, allow our members to swap characters to fill in what is needed for us to be successful.
Here are some of our recent workshop sessions and the experts behind them:
- Quad Trainout Training (Eratanii, Pwrhousse, Jumo, and Pyrrh)
- Clean/Dirty Tagging (Asca, Calcium, Erser, Anarke)
- OBS Intro/Overview (Vanitee)
Weekly Practice - Hosted and Organized by Anarke, Totie, and Pacatus.
Our impressively low number Sontalak kill was heavily reliant on the practices we held leading up to it.
Our constant improvements on Vulak preparations have dramatically increased our chances of a successful engage and kill.
OBS/Raid Review - Everyone
Recordings of our faults as well as our premium play-making abilities. Our members and leadership alike take pride in reviewing all aspects of our raiding.
These reflections make it possible for adjustments to our strategies, improvements in communication, and overall understanding of the encounter so everyone is on the same page. They also provide a basis of what workshops the guild is currently focused on.
If you or a friend are interested in raiding Classic Everquest content, then look no further!
Even if you forgot some encounters or are new to some meta changes, we have plenty of guidance to get you up to speed. Send us an application right now!
Month of May
Hail All!
We've had a busy month filled with so many great kills and loots!
In the Plane of Growth: A grove filled with animals and sprites. These inhabitants are hostile to those who would oppose the Tunarian council.
Within the Temple of Veeshan: Three wings so dutifully named, conquering them means conquering the dragons within...
In the caverns of Kael'Drakkel: Where stalagtites drip to stalagmites, mighty giants intend to rid the lands of their short enemies.
A dwarf sits on his throne in Icewell Keep: Only to be lured out and beaten in melee combat. We take his head as a trophy.
Through the mazes of Skyshrine: Wyverns and golems cannot keep our force from dropping in and defeating their city leader.
All evil, beware... for Kingdom will be back next month!
What A WEEK for the Kingdom!!!
Apr 11 - Apr 17
Raiding Results: With the Sleeper Awakening looming over us, Kingdom started the week with Zlandi. The next day, we had a CLEAN Tunare kill into a Statue/AoW. What a strong Tuesday!
On Wednesday we amassed with the server and sniped Lord Yelinak before Kerafyrm could get there. We showed off some absolutely amazing goal-tending abilities.
Shortly after the Sleeper event in Skyshrine, we had a sweet sweet quake that gave us a 2nd Yelinak, a 2nd AoW, Doze, CT; plus Klandi and LTK putting us at FIVE new ST keys.
~Notably in Fear, we were able to take the CT kill away from Seal Team who was already in the zone when we made the call to move over. Felt GREAT!
Saturday quake netted us a few more sleeper keys and priority kills. Sleeper's sweep and another Doze. Let's go!
Sunday funday, cleaned up some TOV dragons and helped Castle with a Ring War.

Eyes on the prize
Oh hey. It's been a minute. We've been busy.
Started off March by making the Avatar of War faceplant with a little help from our friends over at <Safe Space> (very safe), thanks to alpha male, hunter of green scale, King of Kael - Lord Rebale. He's probably losing count of his Kael FTEs by now.
It's weird having a Barbarian Bard around, but we're getting used to it.
We also got sick of Harmonying Sontalak so we decided we'd roll over 65-deep to relieve our Druids/Rangers cause we're nice like that (even to our Druids and Rangers - seriously. Apply today).
God look at that resolution. Classic AF, Perp. Classic AF.
Then we decided to pay Tunare a visit again with our friends at Castle. Does killing her twice count as farm status? I'm gonna say killing her twice counts as farm status. We have Tunare on farm status.
And we've really been enjoying watching Greywind's photography skills continue to improve (he's been getting a lot of practice).
All in all, it's been a pretty fun first 10 days of March. Crossed some targets off our list of names. Not many more to go, and they're in our sights. Kingdom will be there, one way or another. But we have one question - will you heed the call?
For The Kingdom!
Great Cycle, Kingdom!
Observations from yesterday - Kingdom likely has the best necros on the server. Dragons show a lot more personality when you kill them. Fear is rough. Sperm charts are hilarious. Kingdom loves getting their players Epics. There is some really skilled competition on this server. And Kingdom is made up of amazing players, great friends, and killer experiences.
Enjoy the Photo Collage! For The Kingdom!
Klandicar
Fantastic job Kingdom on our First Time Kill of KLANDICAR!!!
Zlandicar
Congratulations Kingdom on slaying Zlandicar!
Happy Thanksgiving
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, KINGDOM!
In honor of this year's Thanksgiving Holiday, Kingdom is pleased to offer clemency to Norrath's national thanksgiving turkey ... er *checks notes*... stonegazer cockatrice, named Charlie the Cockatrice. The ceremony was attended by Pacatus, Pyrrh, Tiervan and Revaustt. Unfortunately, charm broke shortly thereafter and was killed in what is being called an "accident".
Kingdom hopes that all of our members, our friends on P99 Green, and the Project 1999 staff have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday (or simply a great week for those who are not located in the United States). We are thankful for this crazy community we all have here in Everquest Project 1999.

Euro Week in the Kingdom!
In honor of Euro week, we post this week's "week-at-a-glance" in French.
English TLDR: Severilous, King Tormax, Dread, Fright, CT (Brain!), Aaryonar, Kelorek`Dar Fish Taco's, Ikatiar, Sevalak, Phara Dar (2x Crown 1x Robe!), Hoshkar, Silverwing, Lady Nevedaria, Druushk, Xygoz, Nexona. Lots of Epics. Pac is 60. Thanks Rolesaur.
an Excerpt from the memoires of Mariorar Underfoot
“It was a normal Monday. I had an interview for a new pack carrier position to support an intrepid guild that fought around the land called Kingdom. I woke up, had my weekly bath and put on my finest tunic before going to the keep. I met with a Lord Stabtastic who was interviewing me for the position and walking me through everything that the Kingdom stood for. I must have said something right because I’d barely gotten through being equipped from the armory with Lady Larceni before I heard a terrifying voice from above saying that a server reset was imminent. What in the name of Bristlebane is server reset? Next thing you know I had a bag thrown over my head and everything was dark with the occasional screeching and clinking in my ears.
I came to and found myself first in the middle of several knights of the realm fighting a named…TURTLE? They made short work of it before whisking us off to the Temple of Veeshan and just started running like madmen towards Dozekar; ready to serve him another does of the punishment of endless death. He’d barely uttered his last curse before again I was teleported; this time to Kael and as the guards were shouting about the intruders and next thing you know not only has King Tormax stormed out; he’s fallen to the blade. Some cleric passes me a vial and tells me to sniff…I was in shock and just did it and BOOM I was in Thurgadin? Wait…are we here for a celebration…we just killed their enemy’s leader…NOPE apparently, they just like killing because next thing you know Dain is dead; his head ripped from his body and held in the air like some kind of trophy.
A druid grabs my hand and we’re in Cobalt Scar then Sirens Grotto then the Western Wastes and back at the Temple of Veeshan. Really? We haven’t killed enough? I guess not because I look up and, I’m halfling enough to say I’m thankful I brought a second pair of britches because, there was Ikatiar the Venom trying to bite me. I ran around the corner and hid with the clerics…at least they can rez me if I die. Ikitiar fell quickly and I felt myself being pulled around the waste and POP I was in the bosom of the temple. Where are we going now? It didn’t take long to figure out that we were after the inner circle of the Claws of Veeshan; Bristlebane protect me they wanted everyone on this continent to hate them; First Dagarn then Lord Kreizenn, then Lord Feshlak; one by one they fell. I guess after 3 literal assassination of the inner circle and their guards the fighters needed a break but I swear….they went mad, MAD I tell you. The Lord Cothatannii grabbed my hand and thrust me into the most freakish conga line between cheering monks and a cliff face of certain doom; right into the slaughter of Lord Koi’Doken; I guess fish is on the menu? Then what do we do? Conga right back to Lord Vyemm; of course that would be natural? Well the Kingdom met their match in Lord Vyemm; it was a brutal and brilliant fight which looked to be going in the Kingdom’s favour until a lucky (and quite dirty if you ask me) shot by the dragon took down the gnomish warrior, so coated in blood I don’t even know who it was. Knight Jumo tried to protect us but alas, if it weren’t for the quick hiding of the force, and some lucky hiding in some pocket dimension of a recovery team; the entire force would have been lost.
As Lord Vyemm’s reinforcements started to reappear and the Kingdom depleted the stash of potions and items I carried to resupply them they decided not to go home but to go to ANOTHER dungeon. We ran to Veeshan’s peak to slay Silverwing but alas Hoshkar and Phara Dar’s intricate dance of befuddlement proved too much for the already tired and resource deprived hero’s and their competitors. Wisely deciding to quiet the call to arms a cry for help was heard in the distance. The knights being bloody, bludgeoned and in need of a rest called for their squires. Lady Vox needed to be taken care of to protect the Northern City of Halas and several of those squires answered the call, and who am I to turn down overtime AND danger pay. The squires assembled from their various locations; dodging dangers and getting to Lady Vox’s lair and cautiously killing her Ice Giant guards before killing her soundly and ripping her coveted white scales from her cooling body. I’m sure bards will sing of this day for the victory was that epic.
A kind druid then took me home to Rivervale; my contract fulfilled and I washed and slept the sleep of a thousand days; and awoke to the spoils from an amazing adventure.”
