Fantastic job Kingdom on our First Time Kill of KLANDICAR!!!
Congratulations Kingdom on slaying Zlandicar!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING, KINGDOM!
In honor of this year's Thanksgiving Holiday, Kingdom is pleased to offer clemency to Norrath's national thanksgiving
turkey ... er *checks notes*... stonegazer cockatrice, named Charlie the Cockatrice. The ceremony was attended by Pacatus, Pyrrh, Tiervan and Revaustt. Unfortunately, charm broke shortly thereafter and was killed in what is being called an "accident".
Kingdom hopes that all of our members, our friends on P99 Green, and the Project 1999 staff have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday (or simply a great week for those who are not located in the United States). We are thankful for this crazy community we all have here in Everquest Project 1999.
It was a busy week in the Kingdom, with a full 7D cycle plus a Quake!

In honor of Euro week, we post this week's "week-at-a-glance" in French.
English TLDR: Severilous, King Tormax, Dread, Fright, CT (Brain!), Aaryonar, Kelorek`Dar Fish Taco's, Ikatiar, Sevalak, Phara Dar (2x Crown 1x Robe!), Hoshkar, Silverwing, Lady Nevedaria, Druushk, Xygoz, Nexona. Lots of Epics. Pac is 60. Thanks Rolesaur.
“It was a normal Monday. I had an interview for a new pack carrier position to support an intrepid guild that fought around the land called Kingdom. I woke up, had my weekly bath and put on my finest tunic before going to the keep. I met with a Lord Stabtastic who was interviewing me for the position and walking me through everything that the Kingdom stood for. I must have said something right because I’d barely gotten through being equipped from the armory with Lady Larceni before I heard a terrifying voice from above saying that a server reset was imminent. What in the name of Bristlebane is server reset? Next thing you know I had a bag thrown over my head and everything was dark with the occasional screeching and clinking in my ears.
I came to and found myself first in the middle of several knights of the realm fighting a named…TURTLE? They made short work of it before whisking us off to the Temple of Veeshan and just started running like madmen towards Dozekar; ready to serve him another does of the punishment of endless death. He’d barely uttered his last curse before again I was teleported; this time to Kael and as the guards were shouting about the intruders and next thing you know not only has King Tormax stormed out; he’s fallen to the blade. Some cleric passes me a vial and tells me to sniff…I was in shock and just did it and BOOM I was in Thurgadin? Wait…are we here for a celebration…we just killed their enemy’s leader…NOPE apparently, they just like killing because next thing you know Dain is dead; his head ripped from his body and held in the air like some kind of trophy.
A druid grabs my hand and we’re in Cobalt Scar then Sirens Grotto then the Western Wastes and back at the Temple of Veeshan. Really? We haven’t killed enough? I guess not because I look up and, I’m halfling enough to say I’m thankful I brought a second pair of britches because, there was Ikatiar the Venom trying to bite me. I ran around the corner and hid with the clerics…at least they can rez me if I die. Ikitiar fell quickly and I felt myself being pulled around the waste and POP I was in the bosom of the temple. Where are we going now? It didn’t take long to figure out that we were after the inner circle of the Claws of Veeshan; Bristlebane protect me they wanted everyone on this continent to hate them; First Dagarn then Lord Kreizenn, then Lord Feshlak; one by one they fell. I guess after 3 literal assassination of the inner circle and their guards the fighters needed a break but I swear….they went mad, MAD I tell you. The Lord Cothatannii grabbed my hand and thrust me into the most freakish conga line between cheering monks and a cliff face of certain doom; right into the slaughter of Lord Koi’Doken; I guess fish is on the menu? Then what do we do? Conga right back to Lord Vyemm; of course that would be natural? Well the Kingdom met their match in Lord Vyemm; it was a brutal and brilliant fight which looked to be going in the Kingdom’s favour until a lucky (and quite dirty if you ask me) shot by the dragon took down the gnomish warrior, so coated in blood I don’t even know who it was. Knight Jumo tried to protect us but alas, if it weren’t for the quick hiding of the force, and some lucky hiding in some pocket dimension of a recovery team; the entire force would have been lost.
As Lord Vyemm’s reinforcements started to reappear and the Kingdom depleted the stash of potions and items I carried to resupply them they decided not to go home but to go to ANOTHER dungeon. We ran to Veeshan’s peak to slay Silverwing but alas Hoshkar and Phara Dar’s intricate dance of befuddlement proved too much for the already tired and resource deprived hero’s and their competitors. Wisely deciding to quiet the call to arms a cry for help was heard in the distance. The knights being bloody, bludgeoned and in need of a rest called for their squires. Lady Vox needed to be taken care of to protect the Northern City of Halas and several of those squires answered the call, and who am I to turn down overtime AND danger pay. The squires assembled from their various locations; dodging dangers and getting to Lady Vox’s lair and cautiously killing her Ice Giant guards before killing her soundly and ripping her coveted white scales from her cooling body. I’m sure bards will sing of this day for the victory was that epic.
A kind druid then took me home to Rivervale; my contract fulfilled and I washed and slept the sleep of a thousand days; and awoke to the spoils from an amazing adventure.”

We always say, when Kingdom practices - Kingdom wins targets. Well with a full 7D cycle, followed by not ONE but TWO full resets (quake, and server reset) we got lots of practice. Our kill list is long and the weekend is a total blur but there are definitely memories that will last a lifetime...
Our 7D cycle was going quite nicely...
Velkator the Sorcerer (guild first Vermillion Robe of Torrefaction)
Fright/ Dread/Terror (3/3 Golem Sweep with 3/3 Golem Tears)
Vox (white scale)
Super late window Dain
One member's description of his experience after the midnight quake ....
Midnight quake (Quake 1.0)
Vox (white scale #2)
Naggy (burnt book)
Ring War (Tutadce)
and a guild first Wuoshi Bomb.
Photo credit for the Wuoshi bomb to Anarke
... and then, server maintenance. Leading to Quake 2.0!
Server Reset (Quake 2.0)
FTK Lord Kriezenn
Vox (white scale #3)
You know we're getting tired when we do an impromptu Conga Line over to our next target.
EPICS: Huge Congrats to the following:
Pygal Singing Short Sword
Pallordawn Fiery Defender
Baskethands Innoruuks Curse
Tiervan Staff of the Serpent
Roobii has a real talent for perfectly lined up mod rods.
HOWEVER, even with all of the above accomplishments still freshly on our minds, the highlight of the weekend was clearly this moment. No words need to be said.
So what do we all think - will there be another server restart to fix the boats? Let's put our tin-foil caps on and go looking for Randy Trevor to see if we can predict the future.
October 11, 2021
Well I was standing there, minding my own business on top of the bell tower looking over a peaceful Plane of Fear, I swear they've finally accepted that I'm one of them after being here so long. It had been a LONG day of just sitting, gazing, pondering life really. I thought I saw my friend Draco at one point but alas...it was just a shadow. But then wait...is it...oh yes it is. I think to myself "DRACO my friend; you're so late, but better late than never." Then all these people charged in through the portal like they owned the place 1 then 2 then 3 then bless my stars there were 66 people that looked vaguely familiar. All of sudden the heavens shook and there Draco runs off; chasing after some short fellow named Belegol...now really Belegol? He's only going to be a snack...but then I start hearing cries of pain. They're killing him???? Jeesh he only just got here and he has to die before tea? Really? Then no longer do they kill him then they all run out...well I never...die and dash...BARBARIC.
So things calmed down a might more and Fear got back to it's peaceful self, the gorgons roosting as the fiends make their way about. Then of course, late again, the mister gets in. The Father of Lizards showed up beside me and we had a brief dance party before of course Cazic arrives and BELLOWS that we all attend him and I swear the entire neighbourhood showed up just to listen to his griping.
Again, the portal had people spewing out of it. I swear I turned around and there were 200 people in zone shouting and yelling. Draco went off to play with some group named after Seals, like really? Go to Kedge...there's water there. Then I turn around and Dread is falling to a group named Kingdom....AGAIN...someone named Tranqua got in over his britches and hit Terror before running off. But then Kingdom, not even phased went and killed Fright. Honestly the triplets never hurt anyone intentionally, they can't control their Death touches. Then someone named Shinko started yelling about a kite and first to engage. No one asked anyone to marry them so what's this about an engagement? Well most of Kingdom got killed when one of their own showed all my friends where they were hiding and Terror sadly fell to those Seal folks...who really don't look like they could even swim. Then that group tried to kill Cazic...my beloved...I tried to run to his side but I couldn't move paralyzed in fear. I really shouldn't have worried because 20 minutes later their corpses were strewn about and there was Cazic looking as muddily handsome as ever.
Those Sealers regrouped yet again...but this time they seemed just angry and ill prepared because of course my Cazic just flicked them off as they seemingly tried death by 100 papercuts...it didn't work and more corpses littered the field.
But those Kingdom friends? foes? what do you call your friends when they try to kill your husband? Anyways they had convinced others of Cazic's horde to join in the fight and I heard his cries of pain. I was conflicted. Who do I help? I saw them dying as Cazic's health went down...but they kept getting resurrected and running back into battle; a few minutes more passed and I was still frozen before I heard Cazic's final deafening cry as he fell to the Kingdom. There was much cheering as they raised their dead and healed up. I'm still torn on if I should be excited for them or sad for Cazic...but wait...what's this?
Oh a letter from Cazic appeared..."don't worry love, I'll be back in about 7 days...don't go anywhere.” Maybe we’ll even get to have tea or I’ll make something out of all these berries I found waiting for him before another group tries to kill him.
He's right, though, we're overdue for an update. Plus, we're in the business of not making tanii sad, and business has been booming.
Here are some ways we haven't made tanii sad recently:
We went ahead and bagged our first ST key (GRATS NARBIN!) courtesy our old friend, LTK. Like literally old. Is this elder abuse? Probably.
We continued the streak of abuse by sending King Tormax (via sexy FTE from Sauwer/Rebale) to the nether realm:
Rolled the dice to see if Sev was worth the while (spoiler alert: yup):
Watched Pyrrh pick on someone not-her-own-size:
Made whoever the triplets' mom is very sad by whacking Cek and Sev (wait, is that LTK again? Wow, we are doing some really messed up stuff in this temple):
Got some cool stuff from Eashen that'll age like wine:
Showed Dagarn who the real destroyers are:
Enjoyed the delicacy of a double Manna Robe Trak (what does it mean?!?!):
Watched in awe as Basket Hands, Best Shadow Knight on the Server (not subjective), masterfully tanked yet another Lady Vox:
Took a quick jaunt over to Jorrleag:
Had a saucy late night rendezvous with Aary:
Snagged ourselves some tasty epics:
Finished some Doze loot (grats terps & Pacatus!):
A couple ring wars, like the one we're doing right now! As I write this! (don't tell anyone I was writing this while we were doing ring war pls):
And uh.... did I mention we SPAT IN THE FACE OF A GOD?!?!
Led to victory by our fearless tanii, after which he was definitively not sad:
Like I said. Business is boomin.
Also we got Lockjaw rawrrrrr
Not to mention Ikatiar the Venom, Statue, Silverwing, Hoshkar, Phara Dar, Druushk, Xygoz, Nexona, another Trakanon, a few Vindis, several Fear 2.0 golems, some triggered Fays, some Undead Bards, and a couple broken golems.
God we do a lot of stuff. Wanna come do some stuff with us? Come do some stuff with us.
Our 7-Day summary from Tues 9/21-9/28
Kingdom started the week off strong with a Statue of Rallos Zek win, followed by a strong improvement in our Avatar of War engage getting him to 52%. Good times and we are hopeful for our next opportunity!
We continued to key up our VP loving members with a fun contested Trakanon, where he died in less than 30 seconds. We also do a weekly speed-run through the Plane of Sky for not only big Island 6+ drops, but also to help gear up our alternate toons. I wonder what our next speed record will be for completing the zone ...
As the 7D windows opened, we took down Telkorenar and then Innoruuk (my personal favorite kill of the week obviously... ! With thanks to Cothsum for getting 3 first-swing hammer procs in a row to establish our good luck streak.) A Kingdom FIRST TIME KILL on Zlexak was accomplished ....
.... and then just as we were about to fade away to bed,....
Our sleep-deprived quake stupor found us success on --- Statue, Kelorek'Dar, Dozekar, Gozzrem ..... (shortly after which, it became actual bedtime.)
Veeshan's Peak was a full sweep with Silverwing, Hoshkar, Phara Dar, Druushk, Xygoz, and (later) Nexona.
In our downtime, we enjoyed the Noble in the Plane of Sky and many HOT Minis. We spent a great deal of time farming armour drops in the Halls of Testing, and also managed to knock out our backlog of Chardok Royals for our amazing Cleric squad (walking away with multiples of both the incarnadine breastplaste and the vibrating hammer of infuse.
Our daily coffee-with-vindi, nightcaps-with-vindi, desert-with-vindi took a fun turn. as we ended our week of Dragons and Gods with a Kingdom Special Event ... Vindi, Naked and Afraid in honor of our Queen-BD, Totie.
On the epic front: HUGE CONGRATS TO Aroan, Laci, Pyrrh, Aubii, Asie, Meka, MSDoc, Pfarrer
We started the week with a successful Ring War - congrats to Anarke! Looking foward to future ring wars for our many new Ring 9 owners who are now on the hunt for a Ring War of their own!
On Friday we enjoyed a VS Kill, and also Vox (with scales!)
We then moved on with some Veeshan's Peak Dragons - Phara Dar and Silverwing, Temple of Veeshan targets Eashen, Telk, and Gozzrem (SHOVEL and BRACELET!), and some fun in Kunark with Faydedar.
A return to VP helped us to finish off Calcium's special lady Nexona.
On the epic front - Vessel Drosslin (Caroll) and Verina Tomb (Xsia) - Druid Epic (Nightadder) - Ranger Epics (Elarin & Quivah) - and farmed 5 rounds (yes, 5) Chardok Royals for our Clerics and Enchanters.
Also, we learned what bored clerics do on the lower islands of sky ... check out one of the famous picture series, "The Hats of Smileface!
Good times, Kingdom! Let's see what this next cycle brings us as a guild!
What better way to Ring in September than smashing Kingdom's first Ring War?
Grats Venpunch on Ring of Dain Frostreaver IV !
Pallordawn - Narandi's Lance
Putts - Crown of Narandi
Ilxoxll - Eye of Narandi
Lyricul - Faceguard of Bentos the Hero
Dahlea - Choker of the Wretched
Excuse me, just gonna grab that right Mmow...
Pacatus accessed the situation, applied his strategic knowledge, and identified our disadvantage.
With this new strategic knowledge, Mmmow jumped into action and secured YASFTE (Yet-Another-Statue-First-to-Engage). We quickly dispatched this foe and sung the praises of Mmmmow.
So then we gathered up all our might, and prepared for our prized Avatar of War! How hard could it be?
Ohf. Depop. See ya next week!
Guild Firsts, Fish Fry, and more with Kingdom on Ice!
Wow, what a cycle we had!
We kicked off our 7D cycle on Wednesday with a quick Ragefire kill for Medyx, then dispatched Velkator the Sorcerer and Lord Bob in Velketor's lab.
Thursday, we accomplished a full Plane of Sky clear (splat goes Queen Bee, as well as 10? feathers), Faydedar, and City Leaders (well, former City Leader?) Venril Sathir and Dain Frostreaver.
Moving on to Friday - we took out the Cobalt Scar Dragon Kelorek'Dar, visited the Emerald Jungle to hunt the dragon Severilous, then proceeded over to Sebilis for the dragon Trakanon (with 4 teeth!). A quick visit to Veeshan's Peak brought us victory versus the dragon Silverwing.
This weekend, Skyfire Dragon Talendor met his match; got a GUILD FIRST kill (strongly contested) in the Temple of Veeshan on Dozekar the Cursed (practice pays off!); and then returned to Veeshan's Peak for Druushk and Xygoz. Velketor the Sorcerer died a second time, and then VP Dragon Hoshkar gave up TWO of his cleric staves.
In Temple of Veeshan we had a good amount of success later in the weekend, with a kill on Telkorenar - followed by FIRST TIME KILL of Lady Nevedaria.
Sunday - we returned to Ragefire twice; for Paider and for Lassie.
We then wrapped up the weekend with another GUILD FIRST KILL on Lord Koi`Doken, and a beautiful finish on Vindi.
3 Guild First Time Kills, 3 Cleric Epics. 16 Dragons / 22 raid targets (I hope I counted that right...), and lots of teamwork, fun, and adventure.
Can't wait to see what next week brings us! FOR THE KINGDOM!
It was quite a battle, but the King of Velious Giants himself, King Tormax now lies dead at our hand:
Of course, we didn't just stop there. Here's a group pic after killing Severilous ...
Here lies another fallen foe, Dracoliche:
Oh, and those first two had just a little bit of loot, no big deal ...
For the Kingdom!
